false hopes

I heard a familiar tone and took a look at my phone. I read the message from her, "Tawag ka." I felt like a child and excitedly called her up.

"Hello..."

"Hello, uy! Musta na?Gawa mo?"

And the 15-minute conversation started.

"Tawag ka na lang uli mamaya. May gagawin lang ako. Nadito mga classmates ko eh."

I didn't ask any more questions. I felt happy enough having talked to someone I've been longing to be with, someone who I thought would be the one to put a smile in my heart once again.

I really thought it was the start of it. Night came, I received another message from the princess, " Gawa mo? Tawag ka naman". I did and it was once again a great night for me. I thought that the next days would get better and better. I was excited to get to bed, wishing tomorrow would come sooner than it will.
